Happy Thanksgiving To All

Thanksgiving is here, and the Holiday Season is starting. It is a time for celebration and family gatherings; however, there are people among us who face a variety of problems: Covid-19, unemployment, foreclosures, health issues, loneliness, divorce, death of a loved one, relocation, hunger, a person in their lives serving the country in a hostile environment, and struggle for survival in general. These challenging times define a nation as a whole, and they provide an opportunity to show one’s character and love for humanity.

All of us, one way or another, have experienced periods in our journey on this beautiful planet during which we felt unable to cope with the unforeseen obstacles, and we have needed a helping hand to pull us out from a difficult situation. Let us pay it forward! Let us serve each other with compassion and genuine care.

Mother Theresa once said, “If you cannot feed 100 people, just feed one!” Certainly, I will paraphrase it by saying, if we cannot serve every challenged person in our society, at least we can do our best for everyone in our program, even if it is for short period of time. In the process, we will receive the best gift the Holidays can bring us: a sense of exceptional altruism and self-respect for serving those who need our support and love.

Happy Thanksgiving to All, and have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Please stay positive, safe, and loving!
